HOW TO MAKE SUGAR CRYSTALS OR (ROCK candy)
Rock candy or sugar crystals is a type of confection made by a supersaturated solution.
Crystals can be made in a number of ways. These are with photos of what the crystals look like and tips on how to make your crystals a success.
It was originated from iran.
WHAT IS A CRYSTAL
A crystal is a solid material whose constituents such as (atoms, molecules or ions) are arranged in highly ordered microscopic structure forming a crystalline that extends in all directions that are somewhere uniform and non-uniform.
It can also be made at home by making a supersaturated solution of sugar (sucrose) and water. And it can be formed by 3-4 days If the process is done perfectly. You can also add food colour in it if needed . It can take amazing zig zag shapes.THE MOST HARD PART IS WAIT TO MAKE THESE CRYSTAL'S FORM.
TO MAKE THESE SUGAR CRYSTALS-:
THINGS YOU WILL NEED-:
#1- 3 cups of sugar (sucrose)
#2- 1 cup of water (drinking water is more suitable to form these crystalline)
#3- FOOD COLOURING (OPTIONAL) If you need coloured crystals
#4- A ROUGH STRING
#5- A PENCIL
TO MAKE FOLLOW PROCEDURES PROVIDED
⚠️PAY ATTENTION OR TAKE ADULTS SUPERVISION⚠️
Firstly boil 1 cup of drinking water in a boiling pan. After almost 5 minutes it turns into a vigorous boil.
Then add 3 cup's of sugar(sucrose).Mix it properly until the whole sugar is mixed up.
then wait again for a vigorous boil.
After boiling process turn off the flames and take it to a rest for 5 min .
Then take a clean container (glass one is best)and pour in it.
Then tie the string in middle of the pencil as shown in the picture above.
After tieing take the pencil and string and place it upon the container make sure that only string should be in the supersaturated solution.
And you are almost done.
then leave it for 3-4 days or a week untouched.
After you will see Crystal's like this.
The smaller Crystal's also works as a seed to form bigger ones.
CRYSTAL'S FORM VERY LARGE IF THE PROCEDURES ARE DONE CORRECTLY AND IF THEY ARE UNTOUCHED
